Following the devastating Venezuela earthquakes on June 24, 2026, Development and Peace ― Caritas Canada has announced an initial contribution of $50,000 to help their local partner, Caritas Venezuela, respond to the emergency. They are also calling Canadians to give generously to help the Venezuelan people.
As a member of Canadian Foodgrains Bank, Development and Peace will benefit from the Government of Canada’s decision to match donations to Humanitarian Coalition organizations. This means that every dollar you donate for Venezuela until July 14 will be doubled, up to a maximum of $4 million.
