Catholic Women’s League
Women make the world beautiful; they protect it and keep it alive.
They bring the grace of renewal, the embrace of inclusion, and the courage to give of oneself.”
Pope Francis in meeting members of American Jewish Committee
My CWL association has been long and my experiences with the League have taught me a great deal, from being Council President, Diocesan Executive member for eight years, Provincial Committee member, to co-convening a Provincial and a National Convention, with the late Sheila Howard.
I pray that our Holy Family Council will continue to reach out to all women of our parish, that they might enjoy the experience of belonging to a Nation-wide Catholic women’s organization, for the good of God and Country.

Winter 2026 Bakesale
We wish to thank all those who donated baked goods and supported the bake sale. Through this event we were able to provide support to Holy Family Parish Summer Camp, St. Vincent de Paul Sustainable Housing Project, Catholic Missions in Canada and Missions in Peru via Br. Blaise.
2025-2026 Pie Making

Pie making often starts with a team going out to gather the fruit we will use from local farms. This has been especially popular with rhubarb and apple picking.
Throughout the 2025-2026 season, the Catholic Women’s League at Holy Family parish got together and made various types of 5″ and 10″ pies as well as apple crumble and many other baked goods that were sold at both the bazaar and the winter bake sale. This activity brings us together to have fun, learn new skills, and an opportunity to build community among our membership.

Interested in learning more about this? Contact us at hfcwllondon@gmail.com. We are always seeking those with a passion for pie making and skills in making pastry.
Looking to buy a pie? Currently we only have a handful of 5″ apple pies remaining in spring 2026.
Resolutions
The Catholic Women’s League, while not a political organization, have had a relationship with Provincial and Federal governments to bring forth items that we, as Catholic Women in Canada are concerned about and would like to see change. The National Catholic Women’s League of Canada website contains lists of current and archived resolutions that we have or are in the process of taking forward to the Federal government. We encourage you to keep aware of these resolutions.
Be Part of Our Sisterhood

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada was organized nationally on June 17, 1920 and granted federal incorporation on December 12, 1923.
The League is officially recognized by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) as a lay association of women and is affiliated with the World Union of Catholic Women’s Organizations (WUCWO), a world-wide federation holding membership in the conference of International Catholic Organizations (ICO) and having consultative status with agencies of the United Nations.
League Prayer
We humbly pray You, O God our Father, to bless
The Catholic Women’s League of Canada.
Bless our beloved country, our homes and families.
Send Your Holy Spirit upon us to give light to our minds
and strength to our wills that we may know and fulfil
Your great law of charity.
Teach us to share with others at home and abroad,
the good things You have given us.
This we ask through our Lord Jesus Christ and the intercession of our patroness, Our Lady of Good Counsel.
Amen
