Do you have questions about the Christian faith? Do you wonder where God is in your life; in the world?
An opportunity to explore the meaning of life
Alpha seeks to help answer life’s questions:
Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus? Where is God in all this?
What is Alpha?
It is a space to share thoughts, questions, doubts, hopes, and fears.
Over 1 million people in Canada have experienced Alpha, and millions more have taken Alpha in over 100 countries and over 100 languages around the globe.
Alpha is a way to inspire and equip churches to create a space where people from any background can encounter Jesus. The same Alpha content is run all over the world, by Christians of all traditions, and provides a common expression of faith.
Alpha Youth and Online Options too!
What does an Alpha Session look like?
Whether it’s a group of friends gathered around a kitchen table, or a quick online catch-up, times of connecting are important. It’s no different at Alpha. Whether in-person sharing food or virtually with a cup of tea, all sessions start with a time to connect, relax, and build friendships.
The Alpha talks are designed to engage people from all walks of life and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith and unpack the basics of Christian belief, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”
The discussion time is an opportunity for people to respond to the talk, hear from others, and contribute their own perspective in an honest, friendly, and open environment.
Our Fall Session is currently closed for new registrations. Please fill out the form below to be notified when registration for our Winter Session opens.
Support the Mission of Alpha and help our Family of Parishes reach more people and introduce them to a personal relationship with Jesus.
It is no small task to host an Alpha and it requires many hands to make sure that we can give our guests the best opportunity to encounter Jesus and the Holy Spirit through Alpha. If you would like to share some time with us and help make Alpha a success. Connect with us.
5 Tips to Inviting Guests
If you want to invite a friend, family member or neighbour to church, small group or Alpha, whether online or in person, you may wonder how do I get them to actually connect?
And on a more personal level, What if they say no? What if they ask questions that I’m not prepared to answer? How will my invitation impact our relationship?
On Alpha, we know that historically 80% of guests have come on because someone has invited them. It was a real conversation with a real person that made a real difference. The best invitations are rooted in relationships, but here are some practical steps.
