.

UPDATE (June 19, 2025):

We are anticipating large numbers of people from across our London Deanery to join us for the Procession. We encourage you to come early, as space is limited in the church for Mass, or go to Mass at your usual Mass time (at your parish) and join us around 3:15pm (after our 2:00pm Mass) for the Procession.

Parking is available in our lots (limited), or you can also find street parking in our neighbourhood, including limited space at Oakridge Arena. We encourage you to carpool as well. Please see the section below about parking.

Please bring: a hat, sunscreen, water, and umbrella (for the sun) to help you during the walk on the Procession. The weather should be beautiful — sunny and hot!

We are hosting an Outdoor Eucharistic Procession to celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) on Sunday, June 22. Join us at Holy Family Parish after the 2:00pm Mass for a procession around the neighbourhood (Oakridge in London) with the Blessed Sacrament.

A Eucharistic Procession, just like Eucharistic Adoration, is an extension of the worship of Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. The supreme act of adoration and the source and summit of the Christian life is the celebration of the Mass, and that celebration is prolonged and intensified through Eucharistic worship outside of the Mass. In Eucharistic Processions, the missionary aspect of the Eucharist is emphasized as we go forth into the world. Not only gazing upon our Eucharistic Lord, but walking with him, we experience what the disciples did 2000 years ago as they walked with Jesus, proclaiming the Good News to the world. A parish community that undertakes a Eucharistic Procession has made the decision to publicly proclaim its belief in Jesus’ True Presence in the Eucharist. By this public witness of faith, our Church invites people in the community to encounter the Risen Lord present in the Eucharistic Host. For those who participate in the procession, it is an opportunity not only to proclaim their faith but also to grow in their faith.  The procession is, finally, an invitation to Jesus himself to be a part of our daily lives, to be immersed in the world in which we live.

Spread the Word: Extend this invitation to your fellow parishioners and friends, encouraging them to join us in adoring the Lord in His Most Sacred Body in the Blessed Sacrament.

“We entrust these streets, these homes, our daily life, to his goodness. May our streets be streets of Jesus! May our houses be homes for him and with him! May our life of every day be penetrated by his presence.”

Pope Benedict XVI, Homily on Corpus Christi, May 26, 2005
